We are winding down November, but before we close out this month we wanted to introduce our Anaheim Hills instructor of the Month: Kelsey Jackson. Although she's technically the IOTM for Anaheim Hills, Kelsey also pulls double duty by wowing
Happy Thanksgiving Gritties! This time of year we reflect on all of our good fortunes. With all of the mass destruction and loss to our fellow Californians who have suffered from our recent wildfires, it's not difficult to feel grateful. Our
The holidays are officially here--the parties, the late nights, the dessert table, the delicious leftovers, and the excuses galore to ditch that Saddle Room reservation you made at 5:45 am tomorrow. We know, we're right there with you; it's hard
We can't believe it, but we are almost through the month of October. We decided to spend a little time with our Monarch Beach Instructor of the Month, Shannon Roberts, who is an October connoisseur. Give us the Nitty Gritty on
Well, it looks like Southern California will be actually getting an actual autumn season after all. This weekend we had rainboot requiring showers, a power-outing lightning storm, and winds strong enough to a tree or two off of their stumps. Fall
In today's edition of "Meet Your Manager," we are bringing you Ashley Allen, your studio manager from our Anaheim Hills studio. Ashley leaped quickly from front desk favorite to inland county big boss with her hilarious, straight-forward, and hard-working ways.
At Grit Cycle we pride ourselves on staying on trend with the newest and freshest in the world of wellness. We try not to limit our field to just fitness. Most of the products we sell, offer in our locker rooms
Happy Monday Gritties! Today we bring you one of our favorites: Andrea "Dre" Aqueveque--our Costa Mesa studio manager. Not only does she run a tight, well-managed ship; she also is one of the most fun, down-to-earth, and most-hilarious employees on staff.
For the final blog post of 2017, we typically survey everyone's favorite memory of the year, and collage them together for a "best of GritCycle look back"; we think it's safe to say that our unanimous, most favorite and treasured memory of 2017, was the coming together for one of our own, Kelli, on December 23rd, to raise money for her growing medical bills resulting from a terrifying brain surgery and stroke recovery.
With less than two-weeks notice, with only two days before Christmas, our staff and clients showed up physically, mentally, and with their hearts wide-open to express how much our Kelli means to us.
Kelli's 90-minute ride had an instantaneous waitlist, and instructors and staff were generously donating their Saturday afternoon without a second thought.
It was a fantastic chance for the Monarch Beach crew and the Costa Mesa crew to shine together.
In addition to the ride, we raised money with an outstanding raffle where our winners took away generously donated gifts from TK Burger, Citizen Water Co, Lululemon, Style Society Boutique, Bear Flag Fish Co., Jans Health Bar, Wild Taco, 2145 and The Lost Bean - Tustin.
We still are selling the much-coveted "Kelli" tees and tanks----and again, all the money will go to Kelli's gofundme account.
A special "thank you" and mention must go out to Casey Line and her Husband, Patrick Field, for creating and managing Kelli's gofundme account. Dear friends of Kelli, Casey + Patrick immediately stepped in and saw to Kelli's pressing need for financial assistance with these astronomical medical bills.
When we asked those closest to Kelli what they remember most about this special day, it was a concordant agreement: although the day itself had several unforgettable moments, nothing could top Kelli gettin' back on the mic for "Drop THAT Kitty!!!":
