Southern California Edit

GritCycle falls for Fall

Well, it looks like Southern California will be actually getting an actual autumn season after all. This weekend we had rainboot requiring showers, a power-outing lightning storm, and winds strong enough to a tree or two off of their stumps. Fall is here. The consensus is that Fall is the favorite season for our GritCycle staff; we love the darker nights, the cozier mornings, and bundling up with a cup of coffee and a good book. We surveyed our staff to give us the things they love most about autumn; here’s what they came up with:

“Bobbing for apples.. am I too old for that?? Squash pie at True Foods, But number one is PUMPKIN KRINGLE AT TRADER JOES.” -Ashley Allen

“Homemade chili always on Halloween night”– Megan Daly

Pumpkin Scone from Starbucks. Ya, ya I know it’s a gazillion calories, but to me it says Fall🍂 and the holidays are coming“-Jennifer

“Dis 🙌🏼🍁🍂{pumpkin pie Perfect Bars}”-Nicci

“Fall means Football Season in my house. We always make it to at least one football game (read: tailgate) every year!”-Katie Frome.

“A pumpkin spice candle & cozy blanket on the couch!”Kelsey

“Fall is Steelers season . . . no matter how many interceptions🙄 may get in the way”Amanda G.

“If you know me at all – fall means that it’s Trojan football season! As a USC alum – I attend and also travel to many Trojan football games throughout the fall season! FIGHT ON! 🏈”Lauren

Fall means I get to pick out a Halloween costume for Eric…and me.”-Leigh

 “It’s my birthday…..so ya that’s BIG! 🤣 🎃😈🧙🏼‍♀️ 👻“-Kat Rogers

 “My succulent pumpkins and of course my birthday 🎂“-Kelli. {Kelli custom makes these gorgeous pumpkins for your home or party….contact her if you’re interested.}

No more real pants! Leggings and oversized sweaters for this girl until spring arrives.”-Morgan

“…sweaters, baking all things apple and pumpkin, college football, hayrides (regular and haunted), apple picking, leaves changing colors, and HALLOWEEEEEEN!” -Abby
