Surf City turned Grit City

GritCycle is excited to let you know that our Huntington Beach studio is now open and accepting reservations! We are so excited about this opening that we are offering new members one week of complimentary classes at our new Surf City location!


GritCycle is a community studio that offers 45-minute indoor cycling classes for people of all ages and all fitness levels. We ride to the rhythm of the music and incorporate choreographed moves along with traditional cycling techniques. We provide towels for your ride, have digital lockers for your personal belongings, on-site bathrooms, one well-appointed shower (complete with toiletries and towels), a hairdryer, hair ties, earplugs, mints, and everything in between. We offer complimentary shoes if it is your first class in the Saddle Room and after your first ride, the shoe rentals are $2.00. Our bikes are SPD and LOOK DELTA compatible only. We can also put baskets on the pedals so it’s best to wear hard-soled athletic shoes in case we are out of your size. Remember to bring a water bottle (we have a purified water filling stations at the studio) and a can-do attitude! If you forget one, we have water for sale, as well as refillable bottles.

Located in the heart of Huntington Beach at 7454 Edinger Ave, our 50-bike studio offers 35 high-energy and endorphin-boosting classes 7 days a week! The studio is structured around the key fundamentals of happiness – physical fitness, connection, and giving – because at the end of the day, we just want Huntington Beach to be happy. We believe in the power of teamwork, sweat equity, and good ol’ fashioned fun. At GritCycle, it truly is a “we-thing!”






Kris is an instructor at our Huntington Beach GritCycle location.



Kris comes to us from the great Northwest! He has been teaching indoor cycling classes for eight years and in his spare time, he stays active through Pilates, weightlifting, trail running, kickboxing, and running around with his golden doodle, Oliver. His favorite move in the Saddle Room is a fast motorcycle and his playlists are always filled with songs with a big beat. Still looking for more? Ask him about the time he ran across the Grand Canyon and back in just 14 hours!






Reina is a instructor at our Huntington Beach GritCycle location.



Originally from North Carolina and a (somewhat recent) transplant from Colorado, Reina is stoked be a part of the GritCycle team. With a background in the dance and yoga industry, she is tough but all heart. In her classes, you can expect a dynamic, fun, challenging, and uplifting experience… oh and dancing, LOTS of dancing. Her favorite move on the bike, motorcycles! Her guilty pleasures include chocolate Haggen Dazs ice cream and binge-watching thrillers like “The Fall” and “The Following” on Netflix. Outside of the Saddle Room, you can likely find her on the beach basking in the sun with an iced coffee (or a mimosa) and a suspense novel or hitting local spots in the Long Beach area, specifically those with great french fries and outdoor seating.






Molly is an instructor at the Huntington Beach GritCycle



Molly is an East Coast native, but a California girl at heart! Teaching at GritCycle combines some of her greatest loves – music, fitness, and community. She is a health food and group fitness addict and loves to explore new recipes and ways to take care of her body – boxing classes and home brewing Kombucha to name a few. She gets really motivated to move and challenge herself when she hears a hip-hop song with a killer beat. She takes dancing on a bike to a new level and likes to keep the moves simple in order to focus on building core strength.

Matt Bourne is a FORCE to be reckoned with! It is tough to miss him with his infectious energy and signature dreadlocks.  This former collegiate soccer player turned entrepreneur, is a self-made businessman with an undying love for fitness. Matt has taught indoor cycling for years and consistently packs the Saddle Room to capacity. There is never a dull moment with this guy! Get ready to get GRITTY with this cycling powerhouse!
