We See You 2019!

It’s a brand new year! A fresh new start! We at GritCycle love nothing more than goal setting, goal-crushing, and elevating our bar for the next objective. Whether it be a fitness ambition, a professional destination, or a personal intention; starting is a thrilling feeling. We at GritCycle are pumped up to smash those resolutions! Here are some of our staff’s goals:

My forward hope/goals for 2019 are mostly Grit and cycling related!
I would love to increase my times on the schedule and continue growing and learning as a Grit Cycle instructor!
This year, I’d like to see another SCNCA championship, and this year, I’m after the “Triple Crown” jersey which consists of 3 epic 200-mile bike rides with over 10,000 feet of elevation in possible harsh and drastic elements.-Christy

While I have some goals surrounding my career, I don’t set typical goals and/or resolutions.  I set deeply thought out intentions or themes for the new year.  After much consideration, my theme for 2019 is “Owning It.”  I’m the kind of girl who likes to brush off compliments and acknowledgments.  I like to pass them off to others.  “It’s not me… they are the ones that did the heavy lifting!” While that statement is very true, especially when it comes to my team at GritCycle, I can, FOR SURE, learn to accept credit where credit is due.  I’ve also spent many of the last 18 months behind the scenes for fear that I wouldn’t be taken seriously or that I didn’t deserve to be front and center.  THAT time is up.  At 50, I am proud of all that I have accomplished and will accomplish.  I’m ready to own it.
Deep…I know!  But Katie Osumi asked for it!Cassie

My goals for 2019!:
Compete in a competitive half marathon! {Eek! Throwback to running days!}.
Grow my group of clients and develop relationships with the GritCycle community.
Consistently sell out my classes.
aaaaand {my big one}: start a sports writing blog because that is one of my biggest passions!Hillary

WHATEVER MAKES YOU FEEL BAD, LEAVE IT.  WHATEVER MAKES YOU SMILE, KEEP IT.  This is my golden intention every year!  2019 is going to be full of wonderful!  I want to learn, I want to teach, I want to overcome my own insecurities.  My goal is to stay in the moment more, to be open and confident with change, to keep giving my all, showing up and taking a moment here and there to be proud of myself.  I want to go to bed an hour earlier and wake up an hour earlier.  I want to slow down just a little bit.  I want to turn my phone off more.  Watch my babies grow.  Drink more H2O!!!!  2018 was incredible!  I’m ready for you 2019!  So excited for what you have in store for me! –Nicci

Looking forward to creating more balance in my life! And maybe doing something scary to get out of my comfort zone!-Kat

Wishing you the best 2019 Gritties! Stay safe, stay healthy, and we can’t wait to see you in the Saddle Room.
