What should I expect in a class from GritCycle?

Our classes are a heart-pounding, full-body dance party on a bike! Classes are either 30 or 45 minutes long. Be prepared to sweat!

How old do I have to be to ride?

Our minimum age is 12 years old and you must be 4’11” tall at a minimum. If you are under age 18, you may not ride unless a parent or guardian signs a waiver for you in person.

Parents: please note that music played by instructors in classes may contain profanity. If you are uncomfortable with this, please check in with our front desk staff so they may help you choose the right instructor for your minor.

I am new to indoor cycling. Will someone help me set up?

Absolutely! We ask that all new riders arrive no later than 20 minutes before their first class. We want to make sure we can show you around and get you set up properly and for a safe ride.

Are the classes for all levels?

Yes! We are here to push you, but we also encourage you to listen to your body when you ride at GritCycle. If you are unable to do a certain move, don’t do it! If you need a break, take it! It is always a good idea to consult with a medical professional before starting a new workout routine.

What if I'm running late? Will you still hold my bike?

Yes! But please note that we release bikes EXACTLY 2 minutes prior to the start of class. If you are running late, give us a call to assure we hold your bike.

What should I wear?

Any type of athletic clothing that you feel comfortable in is suitable, although we suggest pants that fit tight at the ankles and fabrics that are sweat wicking. Men must wear a shirt during class.

Do I need special shoes?

We offer complimentary shoes if it is your first class in the Saddle Room but have limited sizes. After your first ride, our shoe rentals are $2.00. Our bikes are SPD and LOOK DELTA compatible only. We can also put baskets on the pedals so it’s best to wear hard-soled athletic shoes in case we are out of your size.

What else should I bring?

A water bottle (we have a purified water filling stations at the studio) and a can-do attitude! If you forget one, we have water for sale, as well as refillable bottles. Attitude not included.

What do I do when I get there?

Check in with our fabulous front desk staff! They will have a sign in sheet to claim your assigned bike. They can hook you up with shoes if you need them and answer any questions you may have.

Besides the class, what else does GritCycle provide?

We provide towels for your ride, and have digital lockers for your personal belongings, on site bathrooms, one well-appointed shower (complete with toiletries and towels), a hairdryer, hair ties, earplugs, mints, and everything in between.

How do I reserve a bike?

Create an account for yourself at www.gritcycle.com and continue on to the purchase page. Choose your desired package. If you are a first-time rider, call the front desk or use promo code “gritstrong” to get your first class on us. From there, click the reserve button and choose your class. You can even choose your bike!

What if I need to cancel?

You can absolutely cancel! But in order to avoid a penalty, you must cancel your class by 5 pm the evening before your scheduled class. If you cancel after this 5 pm time, a penalty of $15 will be charged to your account. You can cancel by logging into your GritCycle account and clicking “unreserve”. You can also call our fabulous front desk staff. Be sure to leave a voicemail if you call during our off hours. What if I schedule a class, and don't cancel?

If you do not show to class or call to cancel, a fee of $22 will be charged to your account and the class session will be returned to your account. If you do not have a credit card on file, your class will be forfeited. If you are on an unlimited package and you do not have a card on file, your package will be reduced by one day.
