Born and raised in Southern California, Kelsey grew up playing competitive sports. She loved the rush of consistently pushing herself physically and mentally with a group of strong passionate people by her side. One of the things that brought her to Grit was getting that exact same feeling the first time she stepped into the Saddle Room. In her class she’ll encourage you to work hard, challenge yourself, and feel the support of the other riders amongst you when you need it most. It’s all about progress, not perfection, and changing the way you feel every time you finish that last sprint. You can expect a little bit of everything when it comes to music – pop, rock, EDM, hip-hop, rap, even some throwbacks – and most importantly, the opportunity to just LET GO.
Her full-time gig is being a part of the North America Merchandising team at Vans (yes, the footwear company!), which is why she’s usually wearing a pair of checkerboard slip-ons or Sk8-hi’s off the bike. When she’s not working or sweating it out in the Saddle Room, she’s likely hanging out somewhere outdoors with her husband, their rescue pup (Sherman) and friends, enjoying an IPA or a sparkling water.
The journey is the reward.
