The Process
First: attend the GritCycle complimentary Audition Orientation on October 26th. This is will set you up for success in the application process, what to expect at a GritCycle audition, and commitment expectations for our instructor training.

Third: wait to hear from the team if you made into auditions. You will hear from us by December 1st, 2026.
Audition Orientation
This will take place on October 26th, 2026 at our Costa Mesa location: 1731 Santa Ana Ave, Costa Mesa CA 92627. The orientation will be from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. During our time together, we will cover every detail of the application and audition process, as well as expectations for training.
Please note that attending the audition orientation is not mandatory. It is simply an opportunity to provide you with a detailed breakdown of our audition process, and give you an opportunity to ask questions.
Submitting your Application
We will only accept applications submitted through our website. The deadline is November 13th, 2026. Please make sure your resume contains a comprehensive professional history, including detailed bullet points outlining quantifiable achievements and prior roles and responsibilities that directly apply to the job. Your resume must be submitted as a PDF and the file name must be labeled clearly (e.g.,Firstname_lastname_resume.pdf).

** Please note that we look for candidates who have been active riders at our studios. Preferably we would like to see a minimum of 25 rides completed prior to audition day. This ensures you fully understand our community’s culture and how we stylistically conduct our classes.
** Please additionally note that we do not hire instructors for specific studios. You must be willing to teach at all 4 studio locations.
Prior to submitting your application, it’s imperative that you fully understand the expectations of GritCycle training. Our training program lasts approximately 6 months (longer if needed) and will require specific weekly time commitments from you. If you make it through the audition and join the training team, please make sure you are able to commit to following:
- Attend weekly training sessions that are a minimum of 2 hours. These sessions could be at any point during the week and at any of our 4 locations.
- Able to physically ride a minimum of 4 classes per week and have the ability to travel to all 4 GritCycle locations. Our training team is provided a complimentary membership that they use to ride the required amount of classes.
- Willing to do personal development work outside of the training sessions (e.g., journaling, listening to podcasts, etc).
- Open to receiving continual feedback from the GritCycle team.
Training will begin in January 2027. Specific dates TBD.
Audition Process
If you receive a congratulatory email welcoming you to attend the audition, that email will contain a detailed breakdown of how the audition will go and what the expectations will be. Each applicant typically teaches 2-3 songs. The drills you will perform will be assigned to you. You are required to stay for the ENTIRE duration of the audition.
