That Grit Glow Up Ride Challenge: August Recap

Summer Ride Challenge GritCycle

August was one for the books at GritCycle. Our That Grit Glow Up Ride Challenge brought the heat (literally and figuratively) as riders from all four studios committed to showing up, pushing through, and chasing that summer glow together.

The Challenge at a Glance

  • 12 rides in 31 days—and our community showed up strong!
  • Hundreds of punch cards were picked up, stamped, and completed across Costa Mesa, Monarch Beach, Long Beach Exchange, and 2nd & PCH.
  • Early birds snagged our limited-edition That Grit Glow stickers, proudly repping their dedication all month long.

Why We Rode

This wasn’t just about filling up a punch card. Riders leaned into the challenge for different reasons: some were chasing new goals, others wanted accountability, and many just craved that unstoppable feeling that comes from consistency. No matter the motivation, the energy inside the blue room was contagious.

The Rewards

Those who completed all 12 rides earned:

  • 20% off a 5-class pack
  • Bragging rightsBragging rights (because 12 rides in August is no small feat)
  • Entry into our “What’s In My Bag” raffle —with one lucky winner at each studio taking home a bag packed with instructor faves like recovery tools, snacks, skincare, and more.

The Glow Up Winners

By September 5, punch cards were turned in, tallies were counted, and raffle winners announced. Four riders—one from each studio—took home the coveted prize bags, but every rider who completed the challenge left with something just as valuable: proof of their own grit.

Final Takeaway

Our That Grit Glow Up Ride Challenge was more than just a summer event—it was a reminder of what happens when our community shows up for themselves and each other. The glow wasn’t just on the outside; it was in the energy, motivation, and support shared in every class.

We’re proud of every single rider who clipped in, pushed through, and finished strong. Here’s to carrying that momentum into the months ahead—because the glow never really fades.
